About
Creating Me
I grew up in the Carolinas. As you can imagine for a trans person, it wasn't a great fit for me. So I found escapes. Video games first, losing untold hours to exploring Morrowind or trying to figure out what a Guard Impact was in
Soul Calibur II. Then came tabletop games, which is also where I first found my love for writing. Creating pages and pages of backstory and lore for characters and games I'd never get to actually play.
I moved to Seattle when I was 18 and got my first job in QA doing Certification testing. QA would become my career without me ever really realizing it, jumping from Nintendo, to Bungie, to most recently spending 2 and half years at Harebrained Schemes. I kept writing though, mostly creating stories with the characters of others, but eventually I wrote Kiss Her Before the World Ends. That game opened the door for me to start doing freelance work for Paizo on Pathfinder and other tabletop games like Hard Wired Island.
Creating characters that people latch onto and fostering interconnectivity are my guiding stars for my writing, and I bring them into every piece of work I make.
When not writing, I compete in tournaments for fighting games, build and paint miniatures, or get lost in the worlds of others.
